Rockdale County to Make Updates to Administrative Services Parking Lot

 CONYERS, Ga. – Rockdale County departments will make renovations to the Board of Commissioners (BOC) and Administrative Services parking lot to better serve the citizens beginning April 17 through May 8.

These renovations are to add spaces to the lot to better serve the citizens. Currently the parking lot contains:

  • 56 total spaces
  • 31 spaces reserved for staff
  • 22 spaces for public
  • 3 handicapped spaces

With the renovation, the County plans to add 7 new spaces, 16 additional spaces for the public and handicapped spaces closer to the front door of Administrative Building, resulting in improved traffic flow as well as added greenspace and trees for beautification. The new parking lot will include:

  • 63 total spaces
  • 22 spaces reserved for staff
  • 38 spaces for the public
  • 3 handicapped spaces

During the construction, parking for the public will be available across the street at the Courthouse or in Olde Town near the Whistle Post Tavern starting Mon., April 17. The Rockdale Water Resources (RWR) bill payment box will remain in the Administrative Services parking lot during the construction, but will relocate upon completion to the driveway that exits onto Main Street.
