Community Affairs & Innovative Programs

The Rockdale County Department of Community Affairs and Innovative Programs (CAIP) is dedicated to increasing the citizenry’s awareness and understanding of county policies, programs and actions. It is the responsibility of CAIP staff to establish and maintain open channels of communication with the public and to facilitate citizen involvement in government as more informed individuals.

The department develops public education programs, manages the County’s social media presence, coordinates community outreach events, operates an informational cable channel and serves as a liaison between the County and the media.

CAIP oversees the Rockdale 23 cable TV channel, serves as the County’s media contact, schedules public speaker, provides One-Stop-Shop information and sets up tours of county facilities. CAIP also manages Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful, a group of passionate, proactive citizen-volunteers who educate the public about the importance of litter prevention, beautification, waste minimization and the benefits of improved livability.
