Jason Redmond is the Director of Parks and Recreation in Rockdale County.  He is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the functions and activities of the Parks and Recreation Department.

Prior to joining Rockdale County, Mr. Redmond worked as a Recreation Program Supervisor for the City of Atlanta.  There he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of 10 of the city’s 30 recreational facilities.  Jason is a former School Teacher, Football and Basketball Coach.  Jason is a current member of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) and a member of National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA).  He is a Certified Public Manager through the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute as well as a Leadership Rockdale graduate; class of 2019.

Jason received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Southwestern State University and his Master of Education from Troy University.  Jason has been a Rockdale County Resident since 2014 and is a native of Savannah Georgia.  He enjoys spending time with his family, working out, coaching, and playing basketball.
