Will Barkley is the Executive Chief Appraiser of the Board of Assessors for Rockdale County. He oversees all managerial, administrative, technical work planning, organizing and directing the activities of the Board of Assessors, which entails the responsibility for the appraisal of real and personal property for taxation purposes. He is also accountable for gathering and preparing digest information for submission to the State of Georgia Department of Revenue.

Prior to serving as the County’s Director/Chief Appraiser of the Board of Assessors, Mr. Barkley was the Assistant Deputy Chief Appraiser where he was responsible for the valuation of all commercial, personal and exempt properties throughout Rockdale County. He has also spent time in the Finance Department as an Accounting Officer.

Mr. Barkley earned a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration from Georgia State University, and he holds a professional designation as an Appraiser IV from the Georgia Department of Revenue. He is also a long-time member of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and Georgia Association of Assessing Officials (GAAO).  In his spare time, Mr. Barkley enjoys traveling with the family and playing golf.
