Magistrate Court Calendars

First Appearance Hearings:
Anyone appearing in front of the judge for a hearing, first appearance or committal, will be incarcerated and will be transported from the jail by the Sheriff’s Office. These cases will be held in the Magistrate Courtroom or at the jail. All cases are open to the public. All inmates must have a first appearance within seventy-two (72) hours of being arrested.

Hearing times and days are as follows:
(At the Rockdale County Jail Courtroom)
Monday: 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday: 1:00 p.m.
No hearings on Saturdays and Sundays

(At the Magistrate Court Courtroom)
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m.
Thursday: 9:30 a.m.
Friday: 9:30 a.m.

Committal Hearings:
Every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Rockdale County Jail

Warrant Application Hearings:
Mondays at 1pm, at the Magistrate Court Courtroom

Ordinance Calendars:
Conducted on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the Magistrate Court Courtroom

Civil Calendars:
Conducted every Thursday at 1pm, at the Magistrate Court Courtroom

Dispossessory and Distress Calendars:
Weekly, as needed, at the Magistrate Courtroom
