UDO – Community Engagement

Community engagement has been a cornerstone of Rockdale County’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Update process. Throughout the project, residents, business owners, community organizations, property owners, and other stakeholders have had numerous opportunities to review draft materials, provide feedback, and help shape the proposed ordinance.

Engagement efforts have included community meetings, stakeholder discussions, online participation opportunities, and formal public hearings before the Planning Commission and Board of Commissioners. Feedback received throughout the process has informed revisions and refinements to the draft UDO as it has advanced toward adoption.

As the project moves through the final stages of the public hearing process, this page will continue to serve as a resource for project materials and updates. Following completion of the adoption process, a comprehensive summary of public engagement activities and participation outcomes will be posted here.
